Target Audience

This initiative is designed for rheumatology healthcare professionals who treat rheumatic diseases.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review data on the prevalence of rheumatic diseases.
  • Describe the progressive nature and detrimental effects of untreated rheumatic diseases.
  • Discuss updates in diagnosis, classification and treatment guidelines and demonstrate strategies to incorporate these guidelines into practice.
  • Analyze recently approved and emerging treatment options, including a review of their safety and efficacy through analysis of how new agents are improving patient care.
  • Identify and analyze any “hot topics” in specific areas of rheumatic disease.
