The Michigan GI Society (MIGI) is a professional organization providing education, support and advocacy for healthcare providers in Michigan. The objective of the conference is to provide a comprehensive educational update highlighting data and information from the major annual US conferences in gastroenterology and liver disease to its healthcare providers members. The MIGI annual conference brings together gastroenterology providers including clinicians, researchers, advanced practice providers and allied health professionals from Michigan.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and chronic liver disease (CLD).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this symposium, participants should be better able to:

  • Describe current guidelines for the diagnosis and management of CLD and GI disorders
  • Employ an evidence-based approach to the management of CLD and GI disorders
  • Identify new advances presented at 2023 DDW and assess their potential impact on clinical practice

Accreditation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Cincinnati and the Michigan Gastrointestinal Society (MIGI). MOC Designation
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 8.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.
